| Okay I have a prediction league all nicely set up. First of all you have to join Fifa's website: http://www.fifa.com/index.htmlOnce your resgisted click this link: http://en.castrol.predictor.fifa.com/M/home.mcThen click 'My leagues.' Click 'Create/Join,' and enter the code below: 66040-3216 You can now go and make your predictions by clicking this link: http://en.castrol.predictor.fifa.com/M/predictions.mcHere are the instructions for making predictions: - Quote :
- To make your predictions click on the circles for 1 (home win), X (draw)
or 2 (away win). The points awarded for a correct prediction are displayed below the circles. Click on the joker star button to select your joker. A correct joker prediction will earn you double points. When you have finished, click on 'Save Predictions' at the bottom and you're done! You can only predict up to R3 at the moment because well, the group stages aren't even over! Will be interesting to see who wins.

| Starting writing a blog about the World Cup. - Quote :
It's been four years since we saw Italy celebrate in Germany as they beat France 5-3 on penalties. And now four years on the World Cup is back with and history has already been made as South Africa become the first African country to host the amazing tournament. The opening game of the tournament will feature South Africa play Mexico. I have decided to make a fact file for each country in alphabetical order.
First up is Algeria, who are playing in their first World Cup after a 24 year absent. Algeria are definite underdogs in the World Cup and are not strangers to causing an upset and they have already caused one this year by beating Egypt to qualify. Algeria find themselves in Group C along with USA, England and Slovenia. Could they go through to the next round? Possibly. Although all their hopes of qualifying could be dashed on their first game of the tournament, as they play Slovenia. They must get a win against them to have any hope of getting through.
Next up is Argentina who are definite favourites to win, although with an inexperienced manager at the helm there could be an upset. The man who has a god-like status in Argentina will be hoping he can guide them to success without even being on the pitch. I am talking about none other than Maradona. But let's not write them off because of this. Argentina boast some of the best players in the world. Argentina are in Group B and find themselves against Greece, Nigeria and South Korea. Surely they will find themselves getting through the group stages.
Only 30 teams to go! | |

I dont get the Joker thing however? Lol. The Joker is available once for the whole of the three rounds. If you predict say South Africa winning against Mexico and select Joker you get double points.

| Updated my blog:
Next up is Australia the Oceania side qualified easily and had a 5 point cushion at the end of qualifying. Australia find themselves in a hard group, Group D. Group D includes last years semi finalist Germany, Ghana and the strong Serbia. Australia will be hoping to relive the previous tournaments moments as the reached the knock out stages. Winning the World Cup is not an objective and highly unlikely as the Australian squad lacks depth and is an ageing squad.
Brazil are next. Clear favourites for this years tournament? Definitely. The Brazilians have only lost one game out of twenty four games. The objective for Brazil is simple, win. The Brazilians find themselves in Group G along with Ivory Coast, Portugal and North Korea. If they fail to get pass that group it would a disaster for the side. Brazil boast players such as Robinho, Maicon and Lucio in their side. Brazil will be hoping to win yet another World Cup and also they will be hoping to complete the jig-saw of the globe as they have won in every continent apart from Africa. A win on the 11th of July would complete the jig-saw.

| Well its England's turn tonight. Will be interesting too see if Capello starts with Heskey up front with Rooney or not.. i for one hope he does'nt. He just does not seem the sort of player he will do something out of the blue. I'm sure England will quite comfortablely get past he group stages and they should beat USA. But we will always become unstuck against the better nations and no doubt the tabloids will be on the England players backs. On a side note, i got me England flag today from the Sun. | |

| As long as England concentrate and put their best efforts in then we should surpass the group stages pretty well but then its anybody's guess after there. Lol. | |
