Spring discussion

GFS still hinting a cold end to the month, a bit later then what i thought. ECM is not in agreement though. A cool and unsettled start to April still seems likely.

Update to the months forecast looking ahead to April will be on Sunday as well as a review of how i think this months forecast went (excluding updates apart from the mid-month one)

Heavy shower this afternoon. Sunny this morning. Quite mild/warm.

Vile vile vile vile vile vile vile vile. Mild and wet is the worst combination since chocolate spread on toast. Vile. Bring back winter, or at least the pleasant sunshine of last week.

Hehe its a bit rubbish isnt it nick. At least it isnt cold as well with the rain. Surely you dont like cold and rain! Lol.

Tomorrow might be a bit cloudy at times here but still mostly dry and of course a lighter evening.

Seems a turn to more settled conditions seems likely. Which kind of goes against me forecast for the second week! Turning cooler for the second half. Will have to wait and see.

Forecast certainly not going to plan, however the -NAO i picked up on for the second half may produce a weak northerly, something which the models have been showing!

May turn colder indeed. Dont particularly want but at least the sun would be out.

Warmest day of the year here so far with 14c!

Sunnier here today as yesterday was hazier. It actually therefore feels warmer today than yesterday but there is a cool breeze now and again.

Temperature now 15c here.

A rather cool 11c here, certainly not as warm as the other days! Seems a gradual cool down over the coming week for the majority of the UK. How long till the first 20c?

The Months forecast will be updated around the 15th nest week, either Wednesday or Thursday night depending on how much work i have (Thursday is double History day lol)

Anyway it is cooler with the breeze today. Scottish highlands are very close to 20c right now.

Has just reached 16c here a few mins ago but now slowly dropping back down. I think that is high enough for one day.

Only reaching about 13c or so today here though Friday is our highest so far at about 18/19c.

Winds turning to a north/north westerly direction as the –NAO which was hinted at the start of the month remerges. Temperatures will be around average to slightly below with overnight frosts in places. Snow to the north of the UK is likely on high ground. Some wintry precipitation is possible to lower ground in the heavier showers. Nothing disruptive is expected. It will be pleasant by day however will feel much cooler than what is has been. There are signs that winds may turn more south westerly as we head towards the weekend.

I suspect it will be a milder week with the driest weather in the south. It will unsettled in the north at times but even here catching in on some pleasant weather. I expect temperatures to be above the average however nothing significant, at least for the first half of the week.

Last night we had a max gust of 55mph with a wind chill of -8c. This morning we have had hail mixed with sleet showers.

Had no rain here for what seems ages now with the next 2 weeks likely stay dry aswell!!!

Had a spell of rain yesterday, other than that very little

Will soon be getting on for a month of no rain at this rate. Last rainfall was around April 2nd and with at least another week of dry weather and turning warm or very warm, we will be getting close to the month mark here. No rainfall for over 15 days is apparently classed as drought territory. We have certainly achieved that one!

The stream running through the woodland at the bottom of our road is very low now too.
