Looks like it. Ensemble charts for the GFS suggest pretty much no rain over the next 2 weeks. Very Happy

Sunnier than expected here today. Was expecting a lot of cloud by early afternoon. Infact it was sunnier this afternoon than this morning. Pleasant/warm in the sun again. Sunday looks like being a cracker.

Settled, for now...

Seems a change is likely to more unsettled conditions as we head towards mid month. I had indicated about the possible northerly as the high retrogresses North Westwards. It looks only to be a weak affair with to much low pressure around Greenland. I can't really see where these above average temps are going to come from (that i have been predicting). I think cool and unsettled best describes the outlook after the high moves out the way. Its likely that we will see northerly topplers from time to time with the PV still fairly disrupted.

Forecast for the second half of March (as things stand)

Remaining dry and settled till about the 12th. Turning cooler from the north before it quickly topples. Unsettled with northerly topplers for rest of the forecast. Temps around average to slightly below at times.

Will update next Sunday when there's a clearer picture. No charts tonight.

Perhaps i should have stayed with my original thoughts! Seems my mild and wet call could be right after all. There's still not full support for it though. I shall stick with my updated version for now. Should become more clear over the next few days.

Hope this cloudy muck over the next few days doesnt last long. Been ever so nice to have so much sun. Going to pay the price for this now!

Looks likely i may have to scrap my recent update with the northerly topplers. Starting to look odds against. Will see how it pans out over the coming week

Every possible Northerly/Easterly is just getting downgraded all the time. I really do think we have said goodbye to winter now on the whole. Tbh the next few days still look cloudy but perhaps not quite as bad as i was expecting so still some sunny intervals.

A heck of a lot more sunshine than expected today. This morning was clear blue skies which wasnt forecast at all. Gone cloudy now but tomorrow looks great after midday! I cant believe this but it looks like it may turn very mild or even slightly warm in a couple of weeks!

Could still change though.

I'm keeping an eye on it, there is definitely a trend for a milder turn as we head towards mid month. My original forecast was mild and unsettled, we shall see if that comes to fruitation

Unfortunately not the clear skies that was on your map. Not your fault though. Definately seems to be more unexpected cloud. Sunny spells now anyway.

Looking like many will surpass 10c for much of the coming week. Particularly in England and Wales, it could get up to 14-16c locally imo. Smile

This part of the year is weird. At the Albion match earlier I went in my normal winter coat. When the sun was out it felt positively tropical, however, once the sun went behind the clouds and the wind picked up it felt chilly.

I usually love cold, but I am starting to get sick of it now, let's have a brief period of warmth, and then a summer like last year...minus that horrible brief heatwave.
