Good forecast but what about the band of rain/sleet and snow during the afternoon into the evening? Looks pretty heavy in places (won't effect a large area though) I think anywhere with elevation that gets the heavier stuff will see a decent covering of 2cm-5cm. Some very lucky places on high ground (Wales for example) might get nearer 10cm. A wintry mix for a time at lower ground before perhaps turning more to snow. For this reason i wouldn't expect much in accumulations. Maybe a couple of cm's. The West Mids and Wales on high ground is favoured to see 2cm-5cm. Some lucky spots towards 10cm

Yes every day.

Been doing it all week. Takes about 30minutes to make the maps.

Good good!

I hope others will join in and help out. If we keep this up the members should start to build up.

And people shouldn't argue because at the end of the day what's it worth?

Hi there, yes at last we do look like we could see some heavy perhaps very heavy snow at times. Id say about 3-7cm possible here currently.

Still looking good for here. Perhaps some rain/sleet to start but if the snow is heavy enough it should stick fine and off we go! Smile

Should do, i think a period of rain/sleet is likely for most before turning more to snow. Looks heavy in places according to the radar. 2cm to 5cm for most. Perhaps a little more on the hills. Should reach the North Midlands with the main stuff staying south of the Humber. A couple of cm's across the East Mids possible by the end of the night.

Can I just say but I think the weather warning weather connect have should mention the Grampian (Aberdeen area) as they have warnings out for heavy snow.

Seems most saw 2cm to 5cm. A wintry mix was experienced for most before turning more to snow. I suspect some lucky areas saw the magic 10cm. Overall not a great spell of snow however 2cm-5cm is not bad. Some reports of a thaw already! I suspect its due to the snow being slushy. Higher ground of the midlands did best. The risk transfers to the East Mids as we head into the evening. Some lucky places seeing a cm or two. For most a wintry mix
