| Well guys it dawned on me last sunday , recycling is actually an incredibly important topic in the modern world. Here in East Lothian , we recycle around 40% of our household waste

| Plastic, Cardboard, Bottle and Tins, Garden waist, wood and plaster as well as batteries, house hold appliances all go to recycling. Perhaps if companies cut packaging in the first place. I mean why the hell do people put an lemon or apple in one of those plastic bags! On the issue of bags i would support a full out ban on them (for super markets) | |

| I feel recycling is important. Some packaging is ridiculous although some places are cutting down on it, its not enough imo. We recycle what we can. We also put our green waste in a seperate bin which is collected every 2 weeks for most of the year and actually starts again next week. | |

| In the western isles we have 2 bins. One is for plastics and bottles and tins etc. The other one is for organic stuff like food, grass and paper. We also have 2 big containers in the town to recycle glass, paper and plastics. I think we do well out here lol. | |

| very similar service here sean. Imo the scottish goverment has done extremely well in it's aim of recycling almost 50% of household waste. In East Lothian we are provdided with 3 waste collections. One is the Recycling Boxes , One the Brown Bin and the other our green general household waste bin. The Blue and Green reycling boxes are collected every 2 weeks and my household use them regularly. The Blue Box is used for reycling all types of paper , light card and carboard aswell as toilet roll tubes etc etc. The Green Box is used for Glass , Cans , Plastic Bottles and Crockery etc and is empited at the same time as the blue one. Currently ive got 2 blue and 2 green boxes. Our other reycling collection is the brown bin collection. It's used to recycle garden waste such as Flowers , Prunings from Hedges and Trees , Grass Cuttings , Weeds etc etc and the stuff gets taken away to be composted and sold as compost around the local area. Our General Household waste bin is used for anything that cant be reycled. It's collected once a week | |

| Yeah it seems to be doing well now. Not sure if this happens in your area but our local council warn you if you don't put the right things in your bins and if you continue to they fine you. Thankfully don't think anyone has been fined but some have been warned. | |

Weather often has limited interest compared to other areas and i do not have the money to keep things going.
It has been good doing this for the time that i have being doing this …
